What ages do you offer classes for?
Next Level offers classes for dancers starting at 18 months through high school, plus select adult classes!
Do you offer classes for beginners?
Absolutely! We welcome dancers of all experience levels. Many of our recreational classes are designed for beginner and intermediate levels focusing on building confidence, technique and a love for dance in a positive environment.
What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer a variety of styles, including jazz, ballet, hip hop, pom/gameday, lyrical, contemporary, tap, acro, turns & leaps, stretch & strength and skills drills. Class offerings vary by age and level.
Can my dancer try a class before registering?
Yes! We offer free trial classes when space is available. This is a great way for your dancer to experience a class, meet our instructors and make sure Next Level is the right fit.
What should my dancer wear to class?
Dancers should wear form-fitting dance or athletic attire that allows instructors to clearly see alignment and technique. Hair should be pulled back and secured away from the face. Appropriate shoes vary by class. Jazz shoes or half soles are used for many classes, pom may use sneakers or jazz shoes, and acro is typically barefoot.
How do I know which class to register for?
Start by choosing a class that matches your dancer's age and interests. If you're unsure which class or level is the best fit, reach out to us! We're happy to help with placement or recommend a free trial class.
When is tuition due?
Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Tuition and account information can be viewed through your parent portal.
How much does dance cost?
Tuition varies based on the number, length and type of classes your dancer takes. For current tuition and class pricing, please view our registration information or contact us and we'll be happy to help!
When does your season run?
Our regular dance season runs throughout the school year beginning in August and concludes with our annual recital in June. We also offer summer classes, camps and additional training opportunities throughout the year.
Can we join mid-season?
Yes! We accept registrations year-round as long as space is available in the appropriate class. If you're joining us after the season has already started, we'll help you find the best class for your dancer based on their age and experience.
Do you offer recreational and competitive dance?
Yes! Next Level offers both recreational and competitive programs. Our recreational program is perfect for dancers looking to learn, grow and enjoy dance in a positive environment. Our competition program is designed for dancers who are ready for an increased training and performance commitment. Competition dancers participate in additional technique classes, choreography and competitions throughout the season.
Does my dancer have to compete?
Not at all! Dancers can enjoy Next Level through our recreational program without participating in competitions.
How does the competition team work?
Our competition program is placement-based. Dancers are evaluated and placed into training levels and routines that best support their individual growth and development. Competition requires a larger commitment to training, attendance, rehearsals, performances and competitions than our recreational program.
Do dancers perform in a recital?
Yes! Our season concludes with an annual recital where dancers have the opportunity to perform what they've learned throughout the year. Recital information, including costumes, rehearsals and show details, is communicated to families during the season.
What happens if my dancer misses class?
We understand that things come up! If your dancer misses a class, we are able to allow them to attend another class in their same age group as a makeup class. Please reach out to us so we can help you find an appropriate makeup class. Competition dancers may have additional attendance expectations due to choreography, formations and team commitments.
Can parents contact instructors directly?
To keep communication organized and maintain appropriate boundaries between instructors and students, communication should go through Next Level rather than instructors' personal phone numbers or social media accounts. If you have a question for an instructor, we're always happy to help facilitate communication.

Next Level Dance Studio is located in the Bargersville / Center Grove area with multiple studio spaces to accommodate our growing programs.
